Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2023-2024 LR garbage trucks. The wiper arm retention nuts may be loose, stripping, and causing the windshield wipers to fail. Inoperative windshield wipers can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

What you should do
Dealers will inspect, tighten the retention nuts, and replace the windshield wiper arms as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 22, 2023. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0445.
