Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 LR vehicles. The fasteners that connect the power steering assist cylinder to steering arm may be loose or missing. The power steering assist cylinder may separate from the steering arm, causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.

What you should do
Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. Dealers will inspect and tighten the steering gear fasteners and install a new cotter pin, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 15, 2023. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0451.
